Does Anything Need To Be Added To The Soil

When growing marijuana indoors it is important to plant them in the right soil and it is important to make certain the soil contains the nutrients that are needed while the plants are growing. The first step for indoor planting will be to pick out the proper type of soil to plant the seedlings in and this will be soil that is purchased from a nursery or hardware store that is sterilized. This means that the dirt will be free of bugs and disease that will ensure the plants have a good start in growing healthy.

It is also choosing the soil that it contains pearlite or sponge rock, this will help the soil drainage and keep oxygen in the soil. This type of potting soil can also be mixed with sand and peat moss, so that it will retain moisture and at the same time the pearlite or sponge rock will ensure that it does not stay wet. Soil that is to dry will not allow the roots to feed the plant properly and if the soil is too wet the plant will die because the roots and stalk will begin to rot.

The PH level of the soil will need to be monitored to ensure that is not too acidic and there are also nutrients that will need to be added to the soil by way of plant foods such as miracle grow, to help the plants grow to their full potential.
