What Are Clones

Occasionally when planting marijuana, there is an exceptional plant and to have an exact copy of this plant mother nature has provided a way to clone the marijuana plant. Not a difficult process although it does take common sense and to follow the process step-by-step in order to clone the cannabis.

Cloning is basically taking a cutting of the plant and it is a way to get an exact copy that is genetically identical and this can be done multiple times. There are several reasons why it is wise to clone the cannabis plants; the first is that if the plant is of good quality. It's possible while doing cloning of the cannabis plant to reproduce it many times. The second reason is for some growers it is a faster way to plant rather than growing from seed, the clone often roots faster than the seeds germinate.

There is several things that would be needed in order to clone the cannabis plant a new sharp razor blade and a piece of Styrofoam or wood block would be needed. Other things that would be needed would be a small glass or plastic container, even a shot glass would work, as it would be about the correct size.

There also would need to be a growing medium and this could be one of several things such as rock wool, pro mix, coconut fiber or any of the other suitable growing mediums. The other thing that would be needed is a seed tray with a clear humidity dome for the plants.

There would also need to be a rooting hormone, a spray bottle with water and rubbing alcohol in order to begin the step-by-step process of cloning a marijuana plant.
