Controlling The Odors Of The Grow Room

When growing pot indoors or using hydroponics one of the important things that will need to be dealt with will be the odor of the grow room. This is important because many people that grow in their homes are caught because of a neighbor complaining about the smell from the pot plants.

Using active carbon filters is one way to deal with this problem and they are easily installed. This type of filter is made so that activated carbon filters remove volatile organic compounds from the air. They are also made in a verity of sizes that include ones small enough to fit in the closet or box grow area and they are known as CAN filters capable of removing as much as 99.5 percent of all the volatiles in the air.

These are used by many growers and there are ways to make a activated carbon filter for the do it yourself kind of grower. This takes materials like an activated carbon filter, a small roll of aluminum screen, a ventilation end cap, a duct connector piece and a roll of duct tape. All of these materials can be found at hardware or home improvement stores and is easily put together.

For the cost of $30 to $40 dollars the materials can be purchased and the activated carbon filter that is so important can be built to the exact size that is needed for the grow room or grow box to take away the ganja odor.
