Is There Different Care For Males And Female Plants
When growing pot outside there is not the amount of care needed that is usually done when growing an indoor crop or even a greenhouse crop, with the exception of the male and female plant.
There are many growers and that they are going outside or indoor cannabis crops do not want the males pollinate females and will harvest the male plant prior to its growth of balls on the tips of the branches that contain pollen. This is because many growers preferable in the female weed as it will contain more THC and the buds are the focus of most growers’ interests, rather than the less potent male cannabis. This is a choice by the grower rather than the male requiring a different type of care in the female plants in the outside crop.
Other than this male marijuana plant will require no different care than female, but it does require is harvesting at approximately 12 weeks after the seedlings have been planted.
The female plant will continue to bud and grow seeds if the males have been left in the crop to pollinate for another 3 to 5 weeks. The females will require the same amount of care they have through the growing season, which is not an extreme amount of care with the outside garden unless it is during a drought season. The grower can stop watering the outdoor cannabis plants approximately 2 days prior to harvesting them in order to let them begin to dry.
