Is Fertilizer Needed?
In most cases fertilizer is not needed for the outdoor crop if the soil is good in the area where the ganja crop will be planted. If the soil is not rich and well draining then there should be good soil added to the dirt and this means it might be necessary for the plants to be fertilized in order to grow to their full potential.
If the soil is rich, meaning it is well draining and when held in the hand a squeezed it will clump, but with no effort it will fall apart. The soil should also be of a darker color, meaning not a red clay mixture, which is often found in the southern United States. Clay types of soil are not ideal for growing many types of plants without additional soil and nutrients added to it, this is because without additional soil added it is not a good draining soil on its own.
When the soil is not good and it needs to be mixed with good soil, then it stands to reason that the plants will need some fertilizer. To fertilize the weed crop outdoor fertilizer can be used just as it would be used in any home vegetable garden. When this type of fertilizer is used it should be stopped approximately ten days to two weeks prior to harvest just as it would be in the home garden.
