Growing On The Floor

Some serious marijuana growers planting indoors build boxes on the floor. The garden boxes are filled with soil and this is where they plant their marijuana plants when they are ready to be transplanted from their six-inch pot. Having garden boxes built on the floor makes tending the plants easier and also provides more indoor growing space. When building boxes on the floor the entire room must be dedicated to growing marijuana, as it will no longer be able to be used as a living space, although it can be used for growing other plants also.

In most cases the boxes are large enough that many plants can be grown, with lights wired to the ceiling that can be kept just above the top of the plants and raised as needed. This is an optimal way to grow indoors and in some cases sprinklers are set up as an indoor type of watering or they can be turned on for certain amount of time per day, just as the lighting can be placed on timers.

When growing marijuana plants in this fashion it is as close to outdoor growing as possible without common outdoor problems, such as the fear of the plants being seen, along with pests and disease. These things are not a worry when growing indoors the atmosphere can be maintained so that the plants will not contract disease and with sterilized soil there is little concern for bugs that could do damage to the plants.
