How Long From Planting To Harvest
Harvesting the marijuana crop depends on the seed, it can be approximately 10 weeks after planting until harvest and there is a way to tell when this plant is ready to be harvested, just as there are with other plants the female marijuana plant changes in its appearance. The hairs that were white when the plant was not matured will turn to a dark color of brown or red. When there is approximately 50 to 80 percent of the hairs on the female marijuana plant this color it is then ready to prepare to harvest the plant.
Depending on the amount of light given the indoor crop, this can also affect the harvesting time, by slowing it or making it a sooner time with the hours of light given the plant. Harvesting the plant too soon will mean that the amount of THC will not be present that could have been since the plant was not ready to be harvested.
It is possible to see some plants are ready for harvest by watching the trichomes, these are resin glands on the cannabis plant and they begin as a clear color, then a milky color and the final color is a light brown and this will be when the plant is ready to be harvested. This is also where the highest concentration of THC is located in the plant and waiting until the plant is at its optimum time to harvest means having the best cannabis product. |
