Humidity When Growing With Hydroponics And Indoors
When growing a crop of weed hydroponically humidity is a concern, even when growing in soil humidity can be a concern. To avoid problems testing of the humidity will need to be done, with the use of a hydrometer. This will test the humidity in the air and the grower will then need to add either a dehumidifier or a humidifier depending on the reading.
The humidity in the grow room should be kept below 60 percent, unless mold is a problem, then it will need to be kept below 50 percent. So, in general the readings when the room is tested for humidity should be between 40 and 60 percent for healthy weed plants.
Using a dehumidifier will take the excess humidity out of the air and the result will be seen in the bucket that is located in the dehumidifier. This bucket will need to be emptied from time to time.
A humidifier works in the opposite way; this machine will provide moisture to the air in a growing room that is too dry.
The most important part about whether to humidify or dehumidify is the readings that are provided using the hydrometer and if this testing is not done the crop will suffer. One of the ways it can suffer is by contracting mold on its leaves, stem and flowers. To humid of a grow room and the buds can rot because of moldy conditions. |
