Preparing The Room For A Hydroponics’ Garden

Once the grower decides what room they are going to grow their hydroponics weed crop in, then they must prepare the room before they start setting up a hydroponics equipment. This means cleaning the room. It also means painting walls and ceiling lights so that it will reflect the light and in cases where the walls can not be painted there are other methods that can be used.

On walls that cannot be painted it is possible to use visqueen or mylar that has a white surface and if these are not possible to find some growers use aluminum foil. The walls and ceiling should be covered with one of these products in order to reflect the light onto the plants.

There is also a difference between paints, visqueen, mylar and aluminum foil, using a gloss white paint will be between 70 and 75% reflective as opposed to a flat white paint that is between 75 and 80% reflective. Using visqueen it will be 70 to 80% reflective and the use of mylar is approximately 95% reflective, along with the use of aluminum foil which is approximately 98% reflective.

The amount of reflection is important because it will assist the lighting in that will help plants grow and with hydroponics they will grow at a more rapid rate.

Once the room has been painted, visqueen mylar or aluminum foil installed the floor should be cleaned and if carpeting is installed when possible it should be taken out of the room.

After these things are done the equipment for the hydroponics garden can then be brought into the room and assembled.
