Manicuring Pot Plants

There are several times when growers manicure their crop, one of these times is just prior to it going the budding part of the growth. There is also a time when the plant is younger and growing when some growers cut off bottom leaves and then the plants can be manicured when they are harvested.

One of the reasons for manicuring during growth is so that the plant focuses all its energy on growing the buds. The reason for doing this is to also concentrate the THC into the upper leaves and the buds.

When growers cut the lower leaves they often also make hashish oil from the manicured pieces, hash oil is the most potent form of the cannabis plant properties. Many growers who collect it from the plants also know hashish or hash oil as honey oil.

One of the reasons why some growers manicure the plants during growth is so that all of the plant can receive the amount of light it needs that might be missing because of the leaf thickness on the plant.

When harvesting there are growers that manicure the plants so that the leaves can dry separately from the buds to ensure proper drying of the buds and the leaves.

Manicuring is something that is up to the grower when it is done and if it is done, in some cases it can help the plants to grow healthier and with a more potent amount of THC.
