How To Harvest The Indoor Marijuana Crop
After growing a successful indoor marijuana crop and it is nearing time to harvest the plants there are some final steps that should be taken to have the best possible cannabis product from the indoor plants. The first thing that needs to be done is to ensure the plants are ready to harvest, the female plant will have changed the color of the white hairs from white to a red or brown.
If this has happened and the plant is ready then it is time to prepare the plant to be harvested, this will take as many as 14 days, they should be fed only plain water. This is to allow any fertilizer stored up in the plant to be used and in the soil. Watering the female marijuana plants can be stopped two days prior to harvesting and while it does not have to be stopped it will speed up the drying time once the plants have been cut.
After this has been done for the 14 days and the plants are ready to be cut, this is just the first step in the harvesting process. It can take hours to properly harvest an indoor marijuana crop, this is because once the plants are cut down they will need to be trimmed and hung to dry. This will need to be done as soon as the plants have been cut so they will dry properly.
Different seed strains can also take different amounts of time to harvest and this needs to be considered by the grower. |
