What Size Pots Are Needed
Growing marijuana indoors will require different types of pots; first it will require peat pots or plugs to start the seedlings in, once they have been germinated. Peat is a good starting base, because it can be planted right into the next size pot without disturbing the seedlings and this type of pot or plug will disintegrate. It can also be cut away from the dirt without disturbing the seedlings or its roots and this is important, as this is a delicate stage for the cannabis plants.
While it is important not to disturb plant roots they also must be planted into pots that can accommodate their root size while they are growing. It is also important to take into consideration how large this plant is going to become when taking it from the seedling from the small or medium sized pot and then to a large pot where it will mature. One of the reasons it is so important to choose the right size pot is because these plants can grow rather quickly and if they become root bound, they will not be as large of a plant as it could be. This is because they never do as well once they have been root bound in some ways it seems to stunt their growth.
Changing pots is difficult for a plant and it will often appear wilted for a few days, until the roots adapt to its new pot. The plant will immediately begin a growth spurt and this is why the proper size pot is important.
