Light Reflection With Hydroponics
Growing the marijuana crop indoors using hydroponics still means that the plants will need artificial lighting and while this will raise the electric bill, there is light reflection that can be used.
One of the easiest ways to use light reflection is to paint all of the walls and ceiling with white semi gloss paint, this will bounce the light off of the walls and back toward the plant.
When painting the walls and ceiling is not possible because of paneling or other types of wall coverings there are other means that can be used in order to have reflections from the light. One of these is to use a Mylar material that has a white side that is good for light reflections. A second item that can be used is aluminum foil; this has the ability to act as a mirrored surface that will have a high percentage of reflection.
Having light reflection can increase the amount of growth in the hydroponics crop of weed, because while lights provide much of the plant with the daily light they need, the coated walls will add to that. While it will not lower the electric bill, it does help the plants to receive light to lower parts of the plant or leaves that maybe to close to others to get the right light.
