What Is Vegetative State Or Vegetative Growth

The vegetative state or vegetative growth is of the marijuana plant is what is referred to as the time between when the seedling has grown enough to be placed in the pot or area in the hydroponics garden where it will grow to its maturity.

This when the plants are growing their leaves and prior to any flowering by the females and pollen sacs by the male plants. This is also when lighting is important so that the plants can mature giving the grower a good crop.

The vegetative state can be made to go faster by experienced growers that have a larger grow room and want their plants to mature at different times can do so during the vegetative growth. They can do this with the lighting they use and even the types of seeds they use, because there are strains that will mature at different rates. Some growers also make their own strain of marijuana seeds that suit their growing needs, or planting the indica and sativa. Although the sativa does not have the amount of THC that is found in the indica it does have a longer growing time until harvest and that means a crop that can be rotated indoors in soil or when growing using hydroponics. Since these crops have heat, ventilation, and the protection of the indoors making it an environment where the marijuana plants can be grown year round. It makes sense to have a rotating crop with seeds that mature at different times.
