How Much Water Is Needed?
When an outdoor crop of ganja is grown there usually is not a need to water the plants, because they are outside Mother Nature in most cases takes care of the plants need for water. As long as the soil is good soil able to contain moisture there is little need to water the plants.
If during the growing season there is a drought, then it will become necessary to water the plants and because it is an outside garden planted out of view and not in the yard like a vegetable or flower garden this can be time consuming. Carrying water should be thought out when planning where the crop will be grown, in many cases it will not be necessary, but if there is a drought then the plants will need water to grow.
The only time that the plants can be let go without water is two to three days prior to harvesting, this will begin the drying process of the marijuana plants. Other than when they are ready to harvest in order to have a superior crop then the soil needs to remain damp underneath the surface. If the soil is dry and warm then the plant roots are getting no water and no nutrition. This means there will have to be water carried into the garden or the risk is there for the ganja plants to wilt and eventually die before maturing enough to harvest.
